Northwest Rare Metal Material Research Institute is a full-invested subsidiary company of CNMC Ningxia Orient Group Co., Ltd., the biggest domestic tantalum and niobium rare metal material production enterprise and the only beryllium research and processing base which is mainly engaged in R & D, processing and sales. Of the total of 985 employees, technicians now make up more than 41.5%, including 15 experts who enjoy special government allowances and 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
